RR Crossing clarification.......

I fail to see the relevance. If you have to stop, you have to stop.

 

Ok lets make this real simple.

#1 You are drive a commerical vehicle or your own vehicle.

At this point it do not matter what you are driving.

#2 You come to a railway crossing and you have no idea if there is a train coming or not.

Do you;

A: Stop and look and save you life

B: Drive on anyway and maybe get killed by a train

This is the main question. A or B

No matter what you drive, the train is going to win every time.
Even if drive a military tank with a 120mm Gun.
Trains do not stop on a dime by any means.
