Just wondering if anyone has any information on the Ecolab account in Joliet. Been offered a job, sounds good , but always like to hear from a driver if possible. Thanks

Any details appreciated. I am being told 70plus a year home weekends and probably several times per week as I live 10 minutes from terminal.

That would be pretty sweet if the pay quote was accurate, kinda skeptical with the home weekends part though.

the money and work are there with the Ecolab account. pretty much all hazmat and caustic and you will live in the chem suit.

The Ecolab side is D&H I believe. Everything is hazmat, mostly class 8 with some caustic thrown in.
They have a huge sign in Joliet saying the same thing. I also live 10 mins, but I'm not looking to go back to a company truck. I heard a rumor that they had some O/O but I've never confirmed it.

I pretty much live in the red chem suit, but I'll do it for six figures. Pay sounds accurate if not conservative OP, although not familiar with your area's pay. Best of luck.

Terminal manager said 70's is the low end. 89,000 was the high end, talked to a driver who said all the guys are making 85-90. My concern at this point is apparently they just had 7 drivers quit...can't get a good reason as to why though. Any big changes?

If they all just at the same time, something happened. The tanker company that I worked at last year paid 70-100k and we had a pretty decent turnover. Guys were fired quite a bit and alot left because they couldnt handle the workload as I couldnt, but it was spread out. I would have made 90k my first year but I couldnt handle the 16hr(alot of off tye clock time) days 6 days a week with only an exact 34 hours off regardless of start time.

Handling hazmat material? Thats an major accident waiting to happen. Backing into a tight dock after 15 hours is tough enough let alone unloading caustic material.
