i worked for ruan on a target acct but not in tyler. ive seen some bad reviews but it was one of the few companies i would recommend to drivers. but all accounts and dispatchers are different.
-
does it state what the pay is there?
-
if you apply through the main office you will probably be contacted by the terminal mgr in tyler who would then answer your questions. they were pretty straight forward with me. they basically have a list of runs they do and what they pay for each run. then detention pay is added if they have it. so the hrly/cpm/yrly pay can vary greatly. depends on what runs you do and how your dispatchers are. i did alot of short runs but by my choice, but they would work with me if i wanted more. but im pretty lazy lol

I applied for that three weeks ago, was told they were filled but that's not unusual for us women drivers, just speaking the truth from my experience.
-
it may be full, they arent always hiring, the same guys i started with on the acct i was on were still there after 6 yrs, we also had a woman driver. im no longer there but have talked to my old boss about coming back. just have other things i wanna try.negativecold13 Thanks this.

Thanks, I just have a bad attitude about it because I had some that I applied to and they said weren't hiring yet my friends husband walked in the next day after me and they were going to train him. Another time, I walked in and asked the secretary for an application for a driver and she said, " for a woman driver" and I said yes, she rudely said, "um no." I have run into this a lot and it just p###es me off to the point that next time they might get their head knocked off. I don't take kindly to this seeing how I was left to raise my four kids alone and never receive a dime fromantic their sorry sperm donor. I learned to fix my car, I learned to use a chain saw to clear my land and I'm the one to fix something when it breaks at my house so I just get tired of this kind of mentality. Trust me, I'd rather be getting my nails done with my daughters and going to school events but I have to support my kids so I would appreciate companies not looking at me like a fragile doll.Ooops and negativecold13 Thank this.

The ad read $100-$225/day depending on full or part time. When i talked to recruiter they said there were plenty of full time positions. Im pretty flexible on pay as long as hours worked balances with time off...no point of a local route if im just going home, sleeping, then coming right back into work...

They are full of bs just like most I apply to, they just posted they needed drivers yesterday for this account yet I applied two weeks ago and nothing. I meet all qualifications and have a good score, I go through California a lot and just got a level 1, my third in one week and got a sticker put on my truck.
