Where do you buy the rubber backing for metal edge protectors? My company was forced to buy the metal ones for my last load but I didn't even know they had rubber sleeves for them.
Also what are some of your makeshift ways to protect your cargo from them? I folded up scrap straps and put them underneath.
Pics get bonus points.

I think most folks just buy them with the rubber already on them.
Just a link I found

Extra straps used for scrap, or old rubber mudflaps cut into smaller pieces. Got some old worn out boots? Take the soles off and cut them down to size for them.

Didn't see them until I was already loading. Guess I'll be taking long walks behind truck stops watching for mud flaps.
On the upside I just found a bunch of fire hose tonight. 3 rolls of I think 4 inch maybe 20 ft and 1 roll of 2 inch about 20 ft. I grabbed one roll of each.skootertrashr6 Thanks this. -
I had an old 4" wide towstrap that snapped when a buddy tried yanking me and about 120k worth of heavy equipment out of a mudhole. Cut that up into pieces and works real good.

BTW- How does one just happen to "find" rolls of firehose laying about??!?FloydNasby Thanks this. -
A bunch of stuff dumped in the back of the parking lot of this truck stop.
