I don't have any I'm just wondering what the trick is with the rubber rope, or regular rope for that matter

I use it to keep the top of the tarp from billowing out in the low pressure areas. Straps are for freight!

I just have a hook on each end of maybe 10' pieces. They stretch over twice that length and I just thread 'em through D-rings or around spools/pockets. Got a ton of hooks at home.

Great for wrapping around huge stand-up aluminum coils.

When I pulled for Sherman Bros they have a regular account for US Gypsum and use rubber rope for all of the loads. They have rope hooks under the rub rail (if trailer has one) or just on the side rail under their fixed winches. These are all standard sized and boxy loads so they thread the rope through the d rings down each side and then on the ends. It makes a tarp job go really fast as its all set up for you to just hook it to the rope hooks and pull it tight to the next one. As semi crazy said you can get these special hooks for it so you can make your own bungees and whatever length you want or it makes it nice for end flaps as you tie it off on one d ring and then thread it through the rest, fast simple easy.

Had mooring dock cleats screwed into the underside of rub rails, will hold the rope, rubber rope pretty good.

In my case they would be good for stretching and having them snap back and smack me a good one with my luck. :biggrin_25524::biggrin_2559:

Actually the rubber rope seems to be superior quality than even the best bungees I own. Ain't had any rubber rope break on me yet.
