Got my load to Hodgkin way early. They took their sweet time about unloading me. Got there at 8, appointment was for 10. Now I am sitting in Cicero waiting for them to come get my trailer for yet another live load.
I called a friend who lived in Naperville. Told me I should be packing in Cicero!
I am cooking some boneless chicken breasts and brown rice. Cumin and garlic powder in there. Some olive oil and need to drop some habenero sauce in there to warm things up!
Starting to smell good!

Freighty had all the time in the world. I was at Bway for a load of empty paint cans to Dupont in VA. I set there for 5hrs and 45 min. Good thing was I had a preplan first thing the next morning while I was in Indiana. PU at Dupont where I was delivering!
Load is for Hazmat hauling to Dallas. I got there and you aren't permitted to use the Qualcom, smoke, have a lighter, or cell inside the gates. I should have gave me empty call before going inside. That way I could have got my load assignment and grabbed my load with having to come outside the gate.
The loaded trailer was a POS! 4 tires had flat spots on them Even when the little outside thin line on the tread is too thin it won't pass DOT inspection. One tire was flat, tread was peeled off and gone! What sorry jerk wad pulled that trailer in there like that?!!!!
I messaged breakdown and sat. A mechanic from Martinsburg showed up with 2 tires. He changed one and the block of wood he was using split. The jack wouldn't go high enough to lift the other one. I ended up driving the back roads to the terminal and getting a full set of 8. I had to run behind the scales in VA to get to the WV terminal.
It was a gamble that paid off. I could have got in serious doo-doo if caught.
I yelled and cussed about them only sending 2 tires. Not to the man that made the decision mind you. I wasn't mad at the guy that came out either. He was doing what he was told. He isn't the guy that does road calls. They only had 2 mechanics on duty.
I sent my running late call when I shut down last night. I got a mesage for the planner to get to Dallas legally and ASAP. I thought they would have repowered it.
Good thing is my fuel stop (if I can make it) is 4 miles from the house in Dickson TN. Guess I'll have a "smooch and run" with my girl friend.
Home time is set for this Thursday.
Time to pretrip!

Hey Rug, been to Bway twice myself. Don't recall sitting there for hours, but I did sit for awhile. Both loads were also going to DuPont in VA, but the last load I t-called in Columbus.

Centerville I was seeing 2 women at the same time down there. I quit before I got caught by either one. One 37m and the other 51. Both were fun!
The 51YO's daughter ws engaged to a guy who's son was dating the other woman's 16YO daughter.
I knew, they didn't! -
I was a Floridian for a long time. I was from Naples. Got 6 acres there I can't give away.
