    What's next?

    CB's are a "distraction".....

Glancing down to the GPS may be a "distraction"...oh wait......

Better not shift while driving either....Shifting could be a "distraction" as well.....:biggrin_25526:

Laws like this are ignorant. Distracted driving is already against the law. Passing a law like this is only to make the busy bodies feel good about themselves. For example it's illegal to kill someone, do we need to also pass a law making it illegal to kill someone with a spoon? What about a table leg? All this was covered by the original law against distracted driving, just like murder.

Like they needed to even pass a law where common sense should be present in the first place.

The truck of the future will be like flying Kamikaze.....

Your hands will be strapped to the wheel and your doors will be welded shut.......

but once again it is aimed at commercial vehicles, and we all know how bad car drivers are about texting and driving while distracted.. Such as eating, putting on make up, reading the paper or what not...

Again they want to hit us in the wallet which is already empty enough.

Had a guy today driving a Jeep just about sideswipe me while he was texting. I gave him a wake up call with my Air horns. then he about sideswiped the ditch. LOL. I think we need to govern ourselves not be over regulated by big bully brother!

I don't doubt that. But, there are many commercial drivers with the laptops hooked to the net and surfing. There are many still using the net as they drive. Many still text.

Why have they not governed themselves?

It is the reason we sometimes have no choice because of those who do not believe in self control.
