I've heard 3rd party rumors that Trans-Am is getting ready to go 100% Independent Contractor, as they have let several office workers go and have let some day-time local drivers go. Has anyone else heard this rumor?
Warning: you shouldn't be driving for this sorry company anyway, but if you are, and this rumor is true, please find a better job ... NEVER SIGN A LEASE !!!!

DrtyDiesel Thanks this. -
Wow this will be my big break to be a binnizz man and own my own rig and make the big bucks running for 92 cpm and all the miles I can run!

Haha funny. Anyway cant say I blame them no workmans comp. No equipment upkeep especially with all the government crap. They would have the same if not better income and save more money. Plus have better quality drivers. O/o's care more.

for the company ! -
3rd party, as in, a friend of mine was at a shipper in KC, MO, and the shipping clerk said her hubby worked for Trans-Am, as a day-time local driver, for 27 years, and he was summarily let go for no reason, and was told that Trans-Am was going 100% IC. Is that 3rd party enough for you? Of course, you have to take everything in this industry with a grain of salt, 99% of it is absolutely unbelievable which is why I do not travel with a stupid CB anymore, and haven't travelled with one for about 7 years.
