As long as it does not involve driving, you can go on line 4 to unload, of course hitting the dock involves driving.
Your ten hour break would start after you completed unloading.
Or if you could get in an 8 hour break, you do your unloading after it, go back in the sleeper for two and you are legal to drive too. -
just so their's no mis interptation the LAST 2 may be done in the sleeper berth or off duty. -
you are correct....here is your cookie! The 2 may be taken anywhere.
-
The way I read it, you arrived at consignee at 8 pm with a 3 am (next day) appointment, right? Well, you simply go to bed and get up at 3 am and unload. But you log it as if you unloaded at 4 am or 6 am if you are still there at 6 am. It appears that your log is legal and that's all that matters.

Hi, okay what about if they time stamp the bill's then , then it might get a little fishy right, Everett
-
Who time stamps bills? We have to beg to get someone to time stamp them so we can get detention pay.
-
Isn't 8PM til 3AM considered a 2 hour break ????????
-
It looks more like 7 hours to me....Maybe I don't understand the "new math"! -
Never logged a 7 hour break. Please explain.........
