im sure it's possible.. running with one fuel tank that is.. has anyone here would like to share a dual tank system that they converted to a single tank system.? i have two 110 gallan tanks on my Pete and inside of dealing with the 10+ reasons why my fuel tanks aren't leveling out like they should 100% of the time i think it would be way more simple to run off one tank no? 110 gallons times 7mpg avg is still 770 miles between fill ups, the way things go now the most i can put in now are 55 gallons or so at a time to keep my tanks level, that's a little over 25 gallans a tank, which brings me to the pumps daily, one tank seems better no? :biggrin_25518:

I put two ball valves on each tank and run one tank or two ,and if low pump one to the other then run it. The reason in did it in the first place was for cold weather to run one hot tank.

so kat man the ball valves allow me to control if one or two tanks are being used? im still confused with the fuel that's being returned. why can't all the fuel just be returned to one tank? the driver side?

Are you talking of shutting one return line off and pulling out of two tanks. I have never tryed that.

It can just shut off the valves on the tank you don't want to use

Take the smart valve out and put two tee fittings there and problem solved.

this would be for people like myself that are tired of dealing with fuel return problems and fuel distrubution problems and fuel tanks sucking from one to another unequally etc. quick story, the other day in dallas i had just filled up earlier, still had 40 or so gallons in my tank, then boom! run out of fuel.. one tank would be so much better to me, and maybe to others..
