What is the brand and model slog you are running?. Good chance someone on here runs the same and can assist. I know on the Qualcomm/Omnitracs you have to open the "Approve" tab then click on a log entry to highlight it. Once highlighted the "edit" button is activated and you can change all non driving entries.

I edit on an almost daily basis. It's often easier to manually edit 15mins of on duty PTI time rather than try to catch it without going too far over.

I’m glad I got out when I did. Micromanagement has reached an unbearable level. Good luck, man.

Also what kind of place traps a driver and won't let them leave the building?. The most strict place I have been to, one where you had to hand over truck keys which they locked in a lock box, would let you go out, but all loading would stop until you were back inside.

Anyone tried holding me hostage inside and that's when I started going into hypoglycemic shock unless I could get back in my truck for my insulin.

    Apparently, some need micromanaging.

Large paper mill. He didn't literally trap me in he just wasn't happy I wanted to quick grab.my phone. Plus made me wear hardhat, safety glasses and vest outside. Gotta protect my head from those hard rain drops outside I guess. There was no working outside where I was the mill was on the opposite side of the building. Just docks and wide open Marsh land where I was. Strange rules but whatever.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

Many mills or union heavy industries are like that. One salt mine I went to in Wyoming would flip out if you didn't chock your wheels within 30 seconds of exiting the cab...Even when not on the loading dock.

A lot of those dock guys are just generally unhappy and look for any reason to spread their misery. Go get your phone or whatever else, I'm sure he will survive long enough to power trip on another driver.

I figured out pretty quick in my first few months that most dispatchers haven't spent anymore than 5 minutes in a truck, let alone ran under hours of service. So I'll be ###### if one is going to tell ne how to run my logs. You always save on your 70 hour clocks

I would log off duty as soon as I arrived before checkin. Then log on duty when I'm at a point that I know ill be leaving in a few minutes, while doing depart, closing doors, route planning, whatever. I will still have "check in time" but it may not be as it happend, but the time is still accounted for.

Make a spare key or two :)
