What is the deal with these comments about elogs. All it is, is you punching what your doing onto a screen instead of writing it down. (I don't see it making any difference in safety.) It's simply the same as typing your shopping list into your iphone instead of writing it on a notepad. People make way too much out of this!

Also, as far as tracking you goes, most companies have satellite devices in the trailers and some the tractor too. You don't need a Qualcomm for that.

peterd, windsmith and Reroll Thank this.

Yeah but it's a company phone.
They can do whatever they want with company equipment as long as it doesn't break any laws. But I can see how it would get a bit annoying.

Thinking you can be tracked just for making a phone call is more than a little paranoid though.

it would be nice to be off elogs and get ahead of this oncoming snowstorm in iowa
as i sit watching weather getting closer and sleeper timer counting down
it would be safer but illeagal to get heading east

Start moving after 8 (you did go right to line 2, didn't you?), run until you need to take your 2, then head out again.

I don't think so; 11 is 11 and it will be a violation if you go over.

    There is no allowance.

It's a lie from you safety folks that you can do it on line 5.

Get them to show you the ref if the push it.

It's your butt and CSS score that's taking the hit when DOT mailed you and puts you OOS.
