The broker told me they would track me....it wasnt an assumption. All I had to do was press 1. I didnt care for the idea so Ive been asking around if people have heard or cared for the idea. Most people havent heard of such a thing, and everyone is against it.

The other night I ran out of hours at a customer. Fortunately they are a regular customer and allow us to park in their lot for our 10 hr break and my fellow company drivers have not abused the privilege by trashing the lot.

Trucks are already tracked. Most trailers have satellite trackers in them for their customers. A lot of companies have them in their trucks. Qualcomm's etc...are tracking devices. And at anytime police can track your cell phone. Deal with it.
Also, you're on the internet! Which is the epitome of tracking! -
Like to see them track it with the battery taken out of it.

The paranoid people are the ones to be scared of.

Nothing about being "paranoid".....
What's wrong with just wanting to know that your every move is not being watched, tracked or accounted for.
I have seen what the qualcomm is capable of from the office side. I have had a manager send me a message "it's too early to be stopping" when I went to the bathroom and make a bite to eat on the road.
It's NOT RIGHT.
one does have a right to privacy. All there is to it. And having a supervisor/dispatcher or whomever "staring" over your shoulder is not tolerated in a factory, what makes it so much more appropriate in a truck.Oregon Grown Thanks this. -
It's also being at a good company, which is your decision. We have a Qualcomm (and every other electronic device). We do not hear from our company unless they're returning our call about something important. We do our job, they do theirs, nobody gets bothered here. I have my limits too. They thing is, it's part of technology good and bad, you're not going to get away from it.

disconnect from the trailer, go off duty. No trailer no duty.
-
why do you have to disconnect?
