Running Teams is it Good or Bad

In a best case scenerio teaming is a great way to make some money.
The best case however is with a husband/ wife team where all income is going into the same account.

You will be splitting all miles that the truck does. So if one of you ends up driving more miles than the other the pay will still be split.
Some people I have met do well with this. You had better get allong well and have the same interests though. You will be living in very close quarters.

I know 2 friends that are with Central right now that really enjoy it. They are on a dedicated fleet. They Drive from North Carolina to California. The miles are good and they work well together.

When I first got my CDL, back the year that the regs came into effect. I teamed with my 3rd Cousin. He had been driving for quite a few years at that point and I allways got allong with him well. It did not last long though. We did not get allong at all after a few weeks together, thus I went local after that for many years.

I am now trying the over the road thing again and I am really enjoying it. My wife is not so positive, but I like the work and like the road.

Give it a try. If it does not work out you can allways go solo. Just try and swap to solo before the friendship is totally ruined. If small things start adding up and getting on eather one of your nerves you will need to split soon, instead of trying to ride it out.

I can't sleep well while truck moving

 

I cannot eather, it allmost was the death of me with my trainer. After the first couple of days we started to run as a team. Since I was a refresher it was no big deal on one end of things, but I did not get a good nights sleep till I got on my own truck after that.
