Just thought I would drop in and say hey. Little update the FL weather is great today. Was running down 95 with the window down and enjoying a nice 72. Gotta be in Boca Raton tomorrow morning at 0530. Was hoping to possibly get trip repowered but they didn't do that today so have a nice little down time to sit and wait. Sitting just under 3000 miles and @ 7.0 for mpgs hope they send me back towards OK so I can fill truck up. LoL this 3.9x+ for fuel really sucks out here and here in Ft. Pierce its 4.12 (OUCH). Well you all stay safe out there on the roads.

I would sure love to see photos of how all that hardware is stored and stashed in the truck. I have a '12 Cascadia and cannot imagine where to out it all. Then again, I'm also not much of an interior designer at home, either. I know what beauty looks like but cannot design it into anything!

I'm sitting in the Cummins dealer in Illinois waiting for the two engine lights on my truck to be fixed; there doesn't seem to be a specific recent fault to point to, but the coolant level was a tad low and a clasp needed a ¾ turn to tighten. Talking to the shop manager, I learned that Cummins really recommends checking and adding coolant every day to keep it full, something my company does only when the trucks get into a service or inspection bay. I think I'll be buying some to put in my side box, along with the oil and washer fluid they provide.

yes many including myself have been successful here. When I first arrived we did get equity and I traded that in on a new truck. However as the program stands today, no equity. If you pay it off you can take it and run, stay here with us or sell it on the market and sign a new lease or trade it in on something else on the market, but no equity.

Picked up in Harrisonburg VA for Lakeland FL. At10:01 into break went on pti. Ran over to local travwl center to fill up on coolant then to Peelot for scale. Ran non stop through Charlotte (couldnt stop at home) and was on schedule for fuel stop in FtMill at the Loves at $3.81, but Wilco Hess a few miles down the road was only $3.69! Ka-CHING!!

All goos right? Wrong. Blew a trailer tire in Ft Mill. Had to go to a shop 13 miles in the other direction and took four hours to replace. Now behind schedule. 5am appt blown. Will be in Lakeland at 06:30. Still... Got cheap fuel.

Next up is a 539 mile un back up to SC with two days on it. Cant pickup at scheduled time 28 miles from drop because it is scheduled for two hours after my 14 is over. Waiting to hear back about that, then going to nag planners to reschedule delivery.

I figure that I better check in, my chariot if finally fixed. Only took a week. Got put in a 14 evolution for a run to Jacksonville, fl. I have to agree with camaro355, it was a nice day in Florida. Reminded me to stop and by sunglasses for the next time I come back. This place is like Atlanta with no where's to park. Well I got the vegamite express in a day early and now i get tohead back to texas with that silk milk stuff. Hope I get routed to pick up my truck. I miss my fridge. Took 50 minutes at Denny's in Jackson ms to get a burger. this evo is missing the fridge and the game warden approved deer hunting device for the front. Will miss the fuel economy savings; holding around 7.6 with 78k @ 63 mph.

I put some pictures of my setup @ drloveofdfw.tumblr.com

Well camping out in Biloxi. You folks be safe out there

Well I'm back on the road. The next 6 weeks will be an interesting experience as I have 3 scheduled times I will need to be off. And each 10-14 days apart.
I left the house yesterday and deadheaded to Olathe, Ks to live load an export load for San Diego. A perfectly balance 79780 gross weight. stoopped for the night in Mullinsville, Ks at 6.7. I am not thrilled with that mileage but with the amount of wind I had, it is a rather decent number with my large hood.

Great. Almost 80 degrees in FL and no ac.

On a positibe note, this load is going to Walmart DC in Pageland. Been there many times before. I will be "dropping in" early if they let me. Only 25 miles or so from the hoise in Mint Hill. May be able to do a drop by there. We will see.

I heard back from the recruiter today. Sent her my DD214 so she can attach it to my application and send it to management. Hoping to be joining the JCT family soon.

Update: Just heard back again from the recruiter. My application was approved (that was really quick). She is setting me up with the info for the online orientation link and will be calling me back on Monday for final date for the bus ticket to OK. I am shooting for the 3rd. Gotta clean this truck out and turn in next week before heading over to JCT.

Finished Orientation today but as luck would have it my truck isnt ready. Underhood DEF leak has it at Freightliner in Tulsa and it still needs detailed after it gets back. I'm not going to be picky about the outside but the interior MUST be detailed before I'll accept it. Mud and trash is a no go.

Other than that hiccup everything went well. Every last person I have dealt with has been pleasant with a good sense of humor. They get and appreciate some playful banter. Javada is the Orientation Coordinator and she's a riot. Complete smart ### and barely has a filter! LOVE IT!

If you're coming over to JCT you'll have big jump on most if you have your online orientation and training modules done before you get here. I would be loading my thing in my truck to be dispatched first thing in the AM if not for the DEF issue. Some of those who showed up with me Monday will not be ready to go till tomorrow afternoon.
