If you think it's bad solo, imagine running teams.

    90% no preplan
    Several hours wait to load
    Several hours wait to unload

Though I have to say, they were really nice and paid us $350 for a 20 hour stint we pulled waiting for a supposed "preloaded trailer" that the shipper screwed around on, and that shipper doesn't pay detention. JCT was just like, "that's not right, we can't guarantee this in the future but here's some cash for the long wait." I wasn't going to go back there for anymore loads if something hadn't been done about it, though. 20 hours for a drop & swap is ludacrisp.

They didn't have to pay out of their own pocket though and they did... so kudos to them for that.

(Heads up: try to avoid Florida's Natural in Lake Wales unless you'd like to kill some time chillaxin')

If you're in FL, be prepared to go to Florida Natural as it's our largest account. All the loads are on spot trailers (except for the Campbell's loads).
If you don't want to start your clock, you can always do your break before you head in there a few hours after the appt time.

In my experience with Florida Natural, being with JCT for almost 5 years and living in Florida, I have never had to wait for a load to be finished. They are always ready when I check in. But again, that is my experience.

I lost too much time today between getting the reefer started and waiting for the wash bay to clean the mess the shop guy made. Got it scaled out at the QT and gonna get some sleep and get going in 8 hrs.

Now my question is, will JCT actually track down the driver that dropped that trailer with no fuel and charge them for the fuel or are they just be like it's running now and has fuel?

They usually do. There is a $75 charge to the driver that drops a trailer that is dirty, low on fuel, or in need of a repair. The driver reporting it gets $50 for the inconvenience of correcting the problem. If it was out of route for you to go back to terminal, make sure they also adjust your loaded miles to reflect the extra driving. It is not an automatic thing. You have to request the $50 And the oor miles

Phx (Avondale) was the cheapest on the west side the other day, the Loves in Buckeye was only one cent cheaper. Trying to get a free cb on points so I ate the $1.66.

I hate you. Once I get this R-Monster through the Kali and AZ hills, its all mine. Might even blast right through Sapulpa so they dont take it off me.

I truly hate cauliflour. They stacked those boxes very high on pallets with weak strapping. Got to the second pick and opened the door.... first three pallets tumbled over. Boxes upside down, cauliflour all over the freakin place...

Backed it to the dock, put on my hairnet (easy, squids...), and started reboxing produce. They didnt even put corners on the stacks and didnt bother with shrink wrap. My two load bars were still sitting where I left em. So.....the loaders at the second pick helped me clean up that disaster area. Boxed up most of them, brought me an empty orange box to put the rest, restacked, and put corners on the stacks, and even shrink wrapped the weak boxes, then put their six pallets in. I bought them 8 pizzas and a bunch of 2-litre sodas.

I will never eat cauliflour again.
