Ran through brutal winds from Willcox AZ to Sweetwater TX. My mpg's for the past few days are embarrassing. The wind pretty much had its way with me. Didnt even bring me flowers afterwards. Going to fill again tomorrow and get the true number......then likely cry like a baby right there in the fuel island. Truck still running good though. At least I have THAT going for me. And I cannot complain about miles. They throw em, I run em. I have been lucky I guess, although the delivery timing isnt always to my advantage. Still making plenty of money so no complaints. Felt secure enough to buy a car with cash last week.

Jarhed1964 and jbizzle Thank this.

Ya know, I wonder if what I have suspected might actually be the case? Is it possible that they are having a bit of a challenge lining up freight lately? I pulled two dry loads in a row out of the house and both of em had too much time on em. If they are having a tough time keeping solo's loaded, I cant imagine the difficulty in keeping a team truck rolling.

Three weeks after telling her about our low miles, we're still being run solo speed, and the only outcome from our complaints about the truck was "wait a few months and try to get another one". If I could wait a few months, I wouldn't be bringing up issues with the truck. It's impossible to sleep in it while the truck is rolling, so we're constantly having to pull over for naps.
I'm beyond aggravated about the entire situation and the unwillingness shown by everyone to correct a huge safety issue. -
I don't mind that the loads we're being dispatched on are planned for solo drivers, because we pretty much have to drive solo speed due to lack of sleep between driving shifts. What I do mind is sitting 18-20 hours between loads. That's just ridiculous, and it's happened on multiple occasions.
This company needs to learn how to utilize teams. -
Dude, just toss some shocks and an alignment on there to get at least a little relief. Im getting ready to do that myself. Shouldnt be too much of a bite out of the maintenance fund if you find a good shop.

Yoink! Gonna drop this load in FW then repower a load to McAllen for tomorrow morning.

Sitting at the J in Jerome, ID for the night. Got delivery in Richmond, UT in the morning then pickup load in Hyrum, UT going to San Diego for monday morning. Still running low on hrs but finally getting some back this weekend.

"Here, take my maintenance fund for something that was wrong with the truck from day 1... oh, and keep the truck while you're at it because it's only fit for solo drivers."
You short-circuited my cpu on that one, but who ever accused marines of being smart?
