Well.... Thats not cool at all. I see $250 safety bonus sitting there. Wonder if I will get it? Either way, I k ow you will land on your feet.

I'm still shaking my head that anyone would let this pos trailer 5284 into the fleet for an otr trailer. Working on it now at TA, tying up a s-cable that was dragging the ground, adjusting the brakes (almost couldnt stop), and fixing the non-existant lights. Shop decided they would not remove optiset, so tyson will just have to live with that. Guess I wont get any backlighting on the panel either. Whatever, I got a good flashlight.
I cant imagine what drugs were necessary to remove this "trailer" from Phx Local Only. It needs to be sold off third world style south of the border. What a total heap of ****.

I'm thinking that the driver that dropped it at Tyson would have to been aware of those issues and chose to drop it anyway and not say nothing because they have the mindset of it's being dropped so not my problem.

Exactly. And that is a driver who needs a good thumping. But it wasnt just the last driver, this disaster area has been building for quite a few miles.

Wow. Almost got into it with the idiot in breakdown. Shut his mouth when I told him to read the TA invoice (actually didnt shut his mouth, more like backtracked, changed the subject, and tried to cover his fat #####). Now at another location getting the abs module and airlines looked at. Not pulling this trailer anywhere towards CA until this braking issue is is fixed.

Lighting issue turned out to be my new pigtail. Defective. Bought another and installed. Brakes were out of adjustment, which they fixed for free. We have low air pressure somewhere in the lines in the trailer.

Glad you're doing well Bryant. I'd love to hear the justification on the safety bonus issue. Also like to know who made the call. I like to know who carries the knife before they get a chance to stick it in my back.

    Jarhed1964 Thanks this.

I'm glad to hear that you're doing much better. Sucks that D.O.T is making you wait that long before coming back though.

A little clarification on the safety bonus issue. Technically it was paid on the last settlement of the following month, April 30. That is JCT's payday. Our funds usually take 1 day to get to our banks and in this case it makes it look like we got our bonus in the second month.

Lastly, even though it sucks up the wazoo, I don't know of any company, trucking or non-trucking, that pays any kind of bonus out if you are not technically with that company ON THE DATE THE BONUS IS PAID. Even though you meet the 1st part of the requirement, i.e. got the minimum miles safely, you didn't meet the 2nd part. I know it sucks, but that's the way every company that does business does it.

So, I woke up a few minutes ago and turned the truck on to see what messages were on Qualcomm. Had 11 messages. One was the usual fleet meagre about if we're running ahead, macro 41, yada, yada, yada.

    5 were pre-plans.....

    5 were pre-plan cancellations.

    Guess I don't have a pre-plan for 2moro when I empty out. LOL
