A lot of people have different opinions of this company...I will not encourage you or discourage you from coming here...some people will stretch the truth to get someone to come because they get a bonus if you do....I won't bash this company or praise them...

I like working here for the most part. Like any company it has its frustrations. I cant complain about the miles or money that's for certain.

I think JCT offers one of the best opportunities out there for lease purchase. Most people don't make it for one reason or another though. Number one reason is because they don't have a clue on how to run a business. Number two would be attitude, whether it be a bad one or an unwillingness to be a team player. The world is nowhere perfect and when something doesn't go smoothly, a lot of drivers blame JCT. Yes sometimes it's their fault, but even if it isn't, the average driver well blame the company. And if it really is the driver's fault, then they really blame the company because all drivers are perfect and blameless. :)
The thing about not knowing much about business is a handicap, but not an obstacle. Great support staff and plenty of successful drivers willing to share their tips and advice. In short, it's very doable here with the proper train of thought. Don't be stubborn and be willing to listen and learn.

As far as living a particular type of truck: forget it. Love the one that is going to allow you to make a profit. That's more important than being stylish.

Not sure what the minimum requirements are these days.
You mentioned you live in FL. What part? Tons of freight goes there.
