I am guessing that would be an insurance claim if someone shot out your window. Wouldn't need to touch the maintenance fund to get it fixed.

Correct, but there is still a deductible. Whether an act of god, or act of man, the deductible applies regardless. Calling JCT (and the police if you're a sniper victim) would be considered a CYA, no?

My truck, my responsibility. Anything less than $1000 is on me. Sucks, but such is life.

Got great dash-cam footage of the whole thing though lol.

The only thing you have to pay for is the deductible. That's what the PERFORMANCE BOND is. The rest is paid by the insurance. Now if you don't have the $1000 in the performance bond yet, you may be able to pay the balance with your maintenance account. That's something to ask Shannon Crowley about.

I had my 2014 3 weeks and hit a deer. Didn't pay a dime.......but, I had to put $25/week back into the Performance Bond until I reach $1000.

Did you call Chris Langley about that? Or better yet, Accident/Claims. Not sure who does that now as Lisa Radford got promoted. Don't know the new person yet.

Brandie in claims handled my situation. She explained that since I don't have $1000 in my performance account yet, the remaining total would come from my maintenance up to the $1000, then $50 per week is deducted from my settlement ($25 for performance as usual, and $25 into maintenance) until I'm back to where I should be balance wise.

Point is, I made some calls, sent in some info on the QC, and some pics of the damage they requested...and no money out of my wallet up front. Dropping the truck off at FTL in 3 weeks when I'm on home time so repairs can be done without missing a beat on the road.

Having a positive attitude and doing the right thing works wonders.
