I have never understood that concept. How is it unsafe? The minimum speed limit on most interstates is 45 m.p.h. or 55 on some toll roads.

The only thing I can figure is that it's a personal feeling because you seem to be "creeping" along. I can understand that. Once you do it, it's no big deal. So everyone passes you. Who cares? They don't pay my bills, I do.

Besides, if everyone passes me instead of just most people passing me, everyone and not most get to see my pretty truck. LOL.

I'd like to make a stipulation to driving slow. Any truck delivered to JCT before January 2014 should be driven slower. The exception is the '13 KWs. They are geared differently. The 2014 Cascadias delivered before January 2014 are equipped with 3.36 rear ends. The ones that came in since January 2014 are equipped with 3.07 rear ends. The automatics have 2.71s. So those trucks can run faster at lower rpm's than my truck.

Been doing a ton of catching up on your guys' thread here. Looks like a few more people have left JCT to pursue other options. If you still pop in and read like me, best of luck to Jarhead and Diabello.

Between all you guys discussing (ahem, arguing, ahem) about everything from fuel economy, driving speeds, business practices (holding trips), shippers/receivers and I think even loan interest at one point this thread should be de-facto reading for any wanna-be lease ops--whether they drive for JCT or not!

I'm sweating my ### of in south Texas. Finished up my first week of training yesterday. In fact after five days of the 90-95 degree heat in a FR jump-suit I was asking myself exactly what in the fudge I was thinking to leave those big miles and climate control ride @ JCT! I kid, I kid.

Getting to do some serious off-roading. Mack day cab trucks. They are nice, but some of you guys would cringe at our idle times lol. It's just a different animal out here. A wild west show if there ever was one.

    Stay safe drivers.

They are only using a handful of drivers at the moment. It's still in the testing stage and it's full of problems. I believe they stopped for the moment because of all the problems cuz I haven't received a text in a few days.

Well, I just completed my first load with the FlowBelow system on my truck.

Load from Sapulpa to Pottsville, AR down to Medley, FL. I, of course, got an "R" trailer with NO aerodynamics (blue underbelly or side skirts). Was originally over-gross but got it reworked down to 79860 lbs.

I don't want to jump the gun and say that the FlowBelow system works or doesn't doesn't work because it's only been one load, but my results were shocking. At least to me.....

LOL..... I got 8.08 mpg loaded and 8.37 overall (loaded and empty).

Like I said, I don't want to jump the gun and say the system works, but the last time I did this run, I got 6.82 mpg loaded & 7.19 mpg overall.
    Better wind conditions? Dunno.
Better trailer? Both were "R" trailers
    Same route.
So, was it a fluke? I sure hope not. I'll have to get a good 30 days worth of data before I can truly make an assessment. I'm just tickled to death with this result considering the weight and the "R" trailer factor.
