8 hours to get unloaded. Time for laundry and shower. Got preplan to pick up in Colton going to Paul's Valley. I figured Yuma since I was in San Diego.

Missed out on my sister's birthday, but managed to spend 3 days with the brother & sister I never had growing up.

35 years of catching up is a lot to squeeze into a short visit, but it was a great weekend.

Next time I'm in town, we're going to Carowinds and embarrass my sister's middle child by jumping on the kiddy rides and showing him what fun really is.

Glad to hear it wasn't a total loss. When your next hometime comes around, be in it for yourself, not what the company needs.

    Alanp613 and Stile Thank this.

That's probably because you didn't want to interrupt your time off to help them out... Which I don't blame you when you're off your off

Naw, that's not it. First off the planner would have no clue as to what happened. 2nd, I've been here to long to get flack about it. 3rd, I along with 3 other JCT drivers are covering loads that were missed because customer didn't email JCT with the loads till this morning (they were all 7 am appts) Needless to say we were all late. 4th, my pickup was 4 miles from where I taking home-time.

For mobile scanner folks: TripPak Mobile is now obsolete.

You will need to download Transflo Mobile+ (Google Play) or Apple Store.

Carrier code is CJHT, if you've forgotten.

    Alanp613 Thanks this.

Glad I shut down when I did. Wind really started kickin hard and dust storms. Thunderstorms moving through the area. My truck is rocking more than grandma's rocking chair.

Dumb old guy question here: So I won't have a bunch of TP envelopes and be dropping in the yellow box? TripPak is an online thing now at JCT? Can I still use the yellow box if I want to and do they let you have a bunch of envelopes for it? I kinda like putting my mail in a mail box. I have better faith in it than I do the online stuff.

Couple things I never seen: Guy cussing the non-existent transflow or TP e-transfer thing on the yellow TP box by the smoker's butt container thing going in to a TS. Two: and this is a funny kind of: I never seen a guy pounding on the yellow TP mail box cause it wasn't working right. Though this is the kinda:

I did show up at one on I-81 in WAY upstate NY once after a real nice Lake Effect Blizzard and saw a guy pop the living sheiz outta one because the front flap on the yellow mail box was frozen shut. Puppy opened right up like a (I'll be nice but it involves untouched young girls and a big high school dance). UPS was there at 5 despite the white out and we all got paid. Electronic Swities etc, standing in line cussing and banging on "E-Flow" machine in the nice warm that weren't performing. We're a good bit cold outside . . . but paid on time. Shout to to UPS.

Just sayin . . . Old Guy here. I have more faith in the UPS guys passing me a hundred times a day (that pick up those yellow boxes and deliver them like we deliver OUR stuff: in ALL conditions) than I do electronic thingies passing through wherever. Great when it works, but what's that true ratio and is there a back up plan (ie, UPS and the yellow boxes). I like me some yellow boxes and old "Brown On The Ground" to get my Bills in to HQ; as opposed to "the whims of the net".

Just me though and it ain't a deal breaker. Just sayin' . . .

Thanks in advance for any sharing.

Use the envelopes, ol' timer. They have the added benefit of not costing ya nothin'.

    Mobile scanning costs $6/trip.
