The percentage changes as you start entering your deductions. I do my own taxes and as I start putting stuff in, the percentage changes as the tax bracket changes. But regardless, you never get back what you spend.

The point I was trying to make is this: Say you get 40%. On a $1000 you would save $400. That means you "lost" $600. But if you don't spend the $1000, you still have $1000.

Realistically out can be only 5% savings. Each person is is different.

I have a couple of friends who think that the train horns and the chrome and all the other things that they have purchased get them the money that they spend back and I try to explain but it goes in one ear and out the other so I just try to change the subject.

As Stiles stated if you have to buy pens or paper or whatever that you have to have to operate a business then by all means use the receipt. Take full advantage of everything that you can.

Think we are thinking the same thing just stating it differently.

Noticed a slight air leak when I picked up this trailer. Hopped out and noticed the leak was around the drags, but the air lines seemed okay so I decided to drive the 760 miles to deliver & fix it after I finished the trip.

All went as planned, got to TA in Morris IL and got quite the surprise... the right front inside drag had a hole in it that was causing the leak, and 5 other tires needed to be replaced as well.

I guess I should have seen it coming. The tires looked pretty ratty, but I didn't realize they were quite this bad. I was surprised when Donnie said this was one of the newer trailers, because you certainly couldn't tell it from the tires. I'd have figured this for an '11 from the overall looks of it.

So... sitting here waiting for 6 tires to be thrown onto this "newer" trailer.

Yeah, it's a newer one. Probably a 2014 model acquired on the 2nd half of 2013.

There's no way those were the original tires, then. 5 of them were at 0/32, and the 6th at 2/32.

I'd venture a driver sold them in exchange for an o/o's ragged crap & pocked some coin.
