Hmm, might want to point that out to JCT and look at tire history. But for that explanation, one would need an air jack and an air wrench...I would assume. Not something drivers carry around and any reputable shop would raise eyebrows.

Ramp, blocks, and a torque wrench should do the trick for any shade tree mechanic if I'm figuring it right.

When one gets parts at deep discounts, it's amazing how motivated one can become to solve the tiny problem of acquiring them.

That's true and sad at the same time. All it does is drive up the costs for honest folks.

Stopped at the Loves down the road from the Paul's Valley Wal-Mart DC to waste about 45min. No sooner did I get parked had a National Carriers driver was at my door.

He had already talked to another driver and a recruiter. He didn't believe the recruiter or other driver when he was told that he didn't have to pay fuel tax. I confirmed it and the other stuff he was told and that from he as told me; everything was on the up and up.

That made him happy and was like hell yeah he was going to call them back as soon as he found the number again. So, I have him one of those phone cleaning thingies.

At the yard to get the flex pipe for the exhaust fixed. And since I have plenty of time on this load; doing a restart. I will be here today and tomorrow. This load has to be at Golden State Foods in the City of Industry at noon on Wednesday.

Emptied out in New Orleans area. Going to get next load. Wait, cancelled. New pre-plan. Wait, not enough hours to deliver it. Cancelled. New pre-plan. Ok. No, wait. Cancelled. Phone call. WTF going on? Another truck broke down, need to cover another load. Sweet, 150 deadhead miles. Wait, cancel that too. Arrrg. Cover this load cuz another truck broke down. Ok, fine. Wait, still not enough hours to deliver. That's ok. We'll swap after loaded. Ok. Wait, can't meet other truck cuz 14 will run out at shipper. Ok, other truck will meet you there at shipper and take their load going to California for October delivery (might as well be). You sure? Yes.......um, no. Call other truck and see if they can go there to your shipper to swap. Ugh. Fine. 250 deadhead miles, happy with that.

Are you confused? I sure as hell am.
