You're welcome, not a problem I just want people to know the truth, it's like some people find our success as strange, but what's strange and abnormal are the people that don't make it here, there's so much help to keep you successful, I'm sure you'll like it here, As for Florida not sure of the frequency but we do go there I know that. Well look forward to you coming aboard.

Load did get rescheduled for tomorrow morning. It was no problem getting a reschedule. They had in the system about the truck being in the shop, the QC messages about not being able to make OTD, and the fact I drove every minute I could legally.

Parked at the Pee-lot in Madera, CA (CA-99 exit 159). Got fuel 20miles back at the E-Z Trip in Fresno (exit 142) for $3.41 a gallon. Topped off the truck and reefer.

That lines up with the few drivers I have spoken to. No one has had a negative thing to say. I'm looking for a company that I can give them the next 10-15 years and get a decent retirement as well.

Finished my first week with JCT with a little more than 3000 miles. Delivered here in Allendale, MI, at Leprino foods. Found out it wouldn't be unloaded until Wednesday...then learned about layover pay and about fell over. Needless to say, I'm a happy camper sitting at the hotel doing a 34 that I needed due to low hours the next two days, and getting some compensation for my time.

Now, haven't gotten my first settlement yet, so I don't know hard numbers other than what I've been guestimating based on my fuel consumption records I pulled up on the qc. Unless I'm missing something, I should clear a thousand on my first lease settlement (not including the layover), and I have no idea about the 1500 miles I had last week on my non-lease settlement. I'm not sure if I get the full 90 cents or if they take maintenance. I'm sure they take insurance and the rest of the little stuff.

    Very happy so far.

I was a little shocked about the amount of lumper pay I had to put out on my first load. I delivered to three places in California with a total lumper cost in the range of 300 dollars and a whole lot of wait time. I guess reefer is a whole lot of wait time, but that's trucking sometimes.

I do have one weird quirk on my truck that makes it difficult for me to drive efficiently. My gas tank fuel gauge is extremely inaccurate. I have 2 100 gallon tanks. When I top of the tanks, my gauge reads almost a full tick mark below full. The really weird part is that when my low fuel light comes on, I've still got about 70 gallons in the tank (only know this because I topped off with the low fuel light on). When I flat line at the E mark, I have no idea what's going on in there. I put a stick in there, and it covered about 7 to 8 inches up onto the stick but that doesn't tell me much.

Anyways, so far I'm glad I made the move. Next goal get a truck with an APU that doesn't need a 8 point turn to turn around. :)

Flconcretesalior then there's no reason you can't make it here, it's really a partnership, every way they treat you here is a owner/partner and you will feel that way every time you speak to someone, but remember everything is business, you are operating as a business, and it's up to you to set up a 401k or IRA but there's no reason you can't make a very good living here. Hope to see you come on aboard, it's really a great place, I'm glad I came here.

That can be a good quirk. Means you should never run out of fuel.
