Running with JCT, Part Deux

I usually 3-4 days off. I don't count the day u get home. I usually take Dec 23 - Jan 4 for X-Mas and my sons birthday.

 

Just filled up my tanks with $2.99 diesel. Haven't seen that price in quite a few years.

Passed a driver today on route 35 around Washington Courthouse Ohio truck 2411E tried to talk to him on radio to see if it was any of you but no answer.

 

Me either. LOL. My address is XXXX Freightliner Lane, Anywhere, USA. I just maintain a few bricks, mortar and shingles on a chunk of earth for my wife and dog to stay out of the weather and for me to park my truck at a few times a year. Personal choice. Been that way my whole life. My Mom said all they ever had to calm me as a baby was to drive me around. My wife at the time said: "So he'd nod off if you drove him around." My Dad said;

"NO, he'd CALM down and just be a smiley, happy baby. Little eyes everywhere and the biggest smile you ever saw. He slept on his own schedule. It wasn't about sleep with him. Boy had the strangest sleep patterns ever. It was about rolling down the road with that one. You're marring a pacel of being gone with this one. Good luck to both of you. You'll need luck and more. Child (to her), this one don't know what a home is. With this one it's wherever he is when the sun sets. Might want to know that. Bettin' he ain't said it. I told him he was just drunk and we had a tad of a falling out. He just chuckled and said "OK. We'll see."

Father's intuition or self-fulfilling prophecy. I don't know, but the Old Man was right. Home, for me, is not a place. It's a state of mind and the only place I am truly content is the next mile down the road.

 

Can someone please explain to me the performance escrow? I just talked to my ATBS accountant and she said it was something like a savings, but for what? Is that money accessible to me in some way or at some point? She didn't seem to know the specifics for our company, so I'm just curious. Thanks.

 

The performance escrow is your deductible for a claim, be it vehicle or cargo. Your insurance has a $1000.00 deductible. If you have any kind of insurance claim, your deductible is right there. No need to pull it out of your pocket. And no, it of not accessible other than a claim or when you leave JCT.
