Ended waiting 8hrs for the 100 cases of chicken. Go in to get the bills and end up waiting an hour for the bills. I check destination, temps, and seal number (trailer wasn't sealed, so still had both seals); it checks out; so I sign and put the first seal on. I get to the guard shack to leave and he checks over everything. He starts to look closer at the bills and tells me that they gave me the wrong bills. He looks up those bills on his cheat sheet and the bills I given is one number off from what I am suppose to have. It goes to the same two places, but for a day later. He calls to the back and half hour later someone shows up. It's the same lady that gave me the bills. She ask what happened. I told her that what happened and she looks at everything and goes ####. My bad. She calls to the back and ask about my bills and they are not even printed. She tells me to wait here at the guard shack and she will send someone with my correct bills. After another two and half hours and a shift change ( felt like they had to chop down a tree and make the paper and then make the ink for the printer) some finally shows up with the correct bills. I arrived there at 1300. Load was suppose to be ready at 1400. So, there you go. A 12 hr drop and hook.

Macho, if the number didn't match, why didn't you catch it? I always triple checked everything. Not trying to give you a hard time, but I learned to check behind these people that think they know what they're doing.

The numbers on the both bills were nearly identical. On the very last number was different. Even the shipping clerk missed it.

I will be glad when 2014 is over. And I hate Holbrook, AZ. While going down I-40 about 20 miles from Holbrook, AZ another driver comes over the cb and tells me that I have a low tire on the trailer and that my crank handle for the landing gear just fell off. So, I pull over and pick up the handle. I guess the bolt broke or something. So, the handle is all bent out of shape. I drive down to the TA and put the trailer in the shop for the flat. Turns out it needs a new tire. So, while the do that, I walk over to Wilson's Diesel Service and talk to the friend I made there when my previous truck blew the motor. I told him what happened and showed him the crank handle. He said that he could fix that real quick and give me another bolt. So, he pulled out the torch and 10min later it was bent it back into shape. He told me that i didn't owe him anything, but gave him $20 anyway because he didn't have to do that. Walked back over to the TA and waited for them to finish the tire. My plan was to make it to Flagstaff, but not now thanks to the flat.

Hopefully 2015 will be better for me than 2014 was.

So I guess my home time is about over. I should no better then to do a 7 day run of hometime as it makes me lazy and i spend way to much money. Wifey and I spent a week here in FL visiting her family and went down and gave the RAT a few bucks at Downtown Disney. I was sad to put my wife back on a plane to Vegas but I know Ill be back behind the wheel in the morning. And so will begin a new year and let the miles roll in.
Macho glad to see ya got everything taken care of.

Starting my new year with a 1600 total mile trip to Stephenville, Tx. Going to pick up in Lemoore at 0130. So, should be a drop and hook and mostly likely will be heavy. Only one time I have picked up a load from there that was only 20k.

    Happy New Year everyone.

Just keep in mind that those miles will go into December since you were dispatched today.
