Good luck with that. Not gonna tell you it won't happen, but JCT is not going to a new driver they know NOTHING about a brand new truck. Current drivers have priority.

Sorry to hear of your issues. Not fun at all I imagine watching your hard earned cash get drained by a PoS KW. To be honest, I've not heard of 1 person get decent fuel economy with those 13's. Not saying someone, somewhere isn't cracking 7mpg with that beast, but I've yet to talk to one that has. If there is one small glimmer of hope, it's that the 13 KW's are next to be replaced after the 12 Cascadias. Perhaps if you politely inform JCT that you aren't going to continue to run in the KW you're in if it's not earning you a decent wage...then maybe they can get you into something newer (or brand new) sooner, rather than later.

    Anyway, good luck!

I saw KW and cringed for him. I'm posting my full reply in Darla's Folder (2015 Cascadia OTR Performance), for any that care to read the full deal. For the OP I offer this: Consider Repo. Now I know it sux to be the repo guy, but I have heard of some guys getting much better rides outta the deal, and a lot earlier than they would have if they had waited for their "turn" on a new one. B driver beats broke driver any day in my book. Check out your options on repo if you don't have the stuff you need to make it to New Truck (no letter after the number) Day.

So, I can't offer you any real advise on money making other than: GET OUT FROM UNDER THAT KW AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!!

They be Purdy, but they also be expensIIIIve!!!!

I started here in January 2014...and I got a truck with 36 miles on it....it has 150259 miles on it at this moment...but when I was being recruited, I told them I would not accept a junk truck..

I want to make this very clear. You did not get a new truck because you made some sort of demand. You simply lucked up because JCT did not have enough used trucks for everyone coming out of orientation.

There have been several times that has happened. JCT went 3 weeks in a row where EVERYONE got a brand new truck out of orientation.

I dare ANYONE to tell Javada that you're not taking a truck that's on the lot. She'll tell you that you can wait on your dime at the motel or she'll send you home

I didn't tell javada. ..I told recruiting....that's why I didn't turn my truck in at my old company until after I got this truck...because I am NOT getting into someone else's junk.

    Some facts about you situation:

    1. Recruiting has NOTHING to do with the truck you get. Their ONLY job is to get you onboard. They cannot and will not guarantee you any particular type of truck. The only thing they will tell you is the kind of trucks JCT has. They don't have a crystal ball to predict what will or will not be on the yard.

    2. The fact that you got a new truck is entirely luck and/or coincidence. It had nothing to do with Amy kind of demands our ultimatums.

Now let me explain why I am so adamant and sound like an ###. Your post may incorrectly convey a message to potential new drivers that by being demanding or stating what you will or will not do.....that will earn them a bus ticket home.

"Billy Bad A ss" attitude is not tolerated at JCT.

Like I said...I didn't turn my old truck in until I got this one...because everyone knows not to expect recruiting to tell truth and be honest. ...recruiting told me the particular week was supposed to be X amount of new trucks and X amount new hires. ..and I went with the mindset of new truck or bust... getting a used truck from them is a crap shoot
..and I wasn't gonna take a chance of getting a lemon and stay in the Negative in the maintenance fund.

seems so odd to me that if you are leasing a truck, and not being a company driver that they treat you like one when it comes to truck selection.

You have to choose from what is available. Its not like there are dozens to choose from. JCT keeps their trucks filled. You choose one, and then upgrade. Its a walk away lease, so there is no penalty. They certainly aren't going to order one for you.
