I have no issue with him. Keeps me running. Works with me when needed. I just keep him informed on problems that pop up from time to time.

Hey Steel, what is your thoughts on Loves giving the extra 10pts per gallon? Instead of 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, it's 11,12,13,14 times the points.

Don't know anything about it, but if it's cheaper at loves with the points, go for it.

So, I'm sitting here at the dock at Leprino in Lemoore, CA waiting to be loaded and this guy comes running up to my truck.

I roll down my window a little and he ask me if I know how to start a reefer. At first I thought it was a silly question because I pull a reefer, then I realize what truck he came from. He is pulling a reefer container. The kind they put on ships.

I inform the driver that I don't have any experience with those types of reefer unit, but let's see if we can figure it out together.

I walk over to his truck and wouldn't you know it; the instructions are right on the generator under the chassis.

So, we start the generator and we go to the reefer. He starts messing with the buttons before the unit runs all its test and get a keypad error. Turned off the unit and restarted it and waited til it said it was actively cooling. Asked what temp he needed and we set down to where he needed it.

In the end, we both learned something and the brotherhood of truck drivers was strengthened.

Hmmm...Don't know why I put 17k for the weight of the load. It's only 7k. That's right. 7,000lbs for two stops. I'm not complaining at all and the MPG will be very excellant.

This is one of those ultra rare loads that leaves Lemoore this light. Until now, the lightest I ever pulled from there was 20k and that was some months ago.
