Ha! I knew it smelled way too much like seaweed in here! -
Welp. Looks like I jumped gun a bit with my post. My current company has been on the phone all night trying to get me to stay. Looks like more hours are on the horizon, so I think things will be in a holding pattern for now. Best of luck to those who started orientation this week. Will continue to follow all of your guys' success.

I am also wanting to hurry up and get into orientation. But I am having issues with the wife now on me starting with JCT. With all the issues some of you have been having with the trucks I am worried that I will have to take an older one and it will be in the shop right off the bat. Maybe I am just over thinking the situation.

Speaking of 2nd seat... I have my first official case of butthurt with JCT.
Mike pulled off the interstate to find a bathroom, and tried to pull into what looked suspiciously like a parking lot next to a bbq joint... but was actually a snow covered field with tire tracks. Oh noez, drives up to the axle in .
We called breakdown to get a winchout, and were told they had no idea when a tow truck would make it out there to pull us out. Okay, whatever... nap time. Then the police show up.
Officer wants to know how long we'll be mired into this person's yard & blocking the road leading into the business. Reasonable question... one I had no answer for. He had the number of a local service that could be there within the hour, so I talked to the guy and got him to come out.
Less than 2 hours later, we're winched out for $250 (a good deal from what I've heard from other drivers that have been in similar situations). Problem solved, truck on... right? Wrong! Breakdown refused to authorize an EFS check because the tow truck company wasn't in their network, and dispatch wouldn't give a personal advance because "MUST USE MACRO 30" (and ignored my response that breakdown refused to pay it).
If Mike and I hadn't managed to come up with $250, I don't even want to think about what would have happened.
Like I sent into my DM via qualcomm, I can understand that breakdown has their network providers, but if they can't even give an ETA and I have the police breathing down my neck to get my truck out of a hole, I shouldn't be punished for being cooperative and using a local service that can get the job done at a reasonable price.
What was I supposed to do? Tell the cop, "Whenever", when he asked how long it'd take to get out of there? That would have made a bad situation even worse.
What a ###### up situation. I'm entirely displeased.Jarhed1964 Thanks this.
