Word to the wise... Don't EVER bring me an empty for a swap that hasn't been washed/swept out. I got no problem sending anyone on their way looking for a washout.

Not gonna name names but someone tried that on me about an hour ago.

That happened to me on a tight swap. I was out of hours and on a tight meet up. I knew that the shipper he was going to didn't require washouts but the douchebag still pitched a fit. Tough sheeeight. In another instance of a swap, I told my DM that the trailer was MEGA dirty and needed a washout, but he said swap it, the other guy had more dh miles and time to wash it out.

By the way, I bought a broom for sweeping out these trailers. Try it some time. It's #### near impossible.,

In this case I KNOW the shipper would reject the trailer and I needed to be in sleeper asap to make the p/u time.

It was a Cactus, Texas pu. Sorry. You just brought back memories of a bad experience. I try and wash every trailer out, even going on home time. I got some major attitude and it soured me. I've picked up dirty trailer many a time and had to wash them out for pu. Never said a word. Same thing with fuel top offs. But, believe it or not there are many instances where wash outs are no where to be found. I was stressing on a dh looking for a washout and when I got to Tyson they accepted my messy trailer...and it was mega messy. I even asked when I got fuel locally if there were any washouts and was told there were no washouts anywhere near the Tyson plant.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the JBS plant in Cactus has a washout on site and requires you to drop it at the washout anyway. Also, there is a washout about a mile south of the plant at the old Clones Corner (I think that is the name)

My favorite was about 4 months ago when i was asked to do a swap with a guy with with an empty. I asked if they are empty and I'm empty why do we need to swap trailers? It was because he didn't want to give up the load, but didn't have the hours to get his washed and make on time pickup. I then asked if his load was for hometime. They said no. So, I said no that I wasn't giving up my clean and fully fuel trailer for a dirty one and that if they wanted on time pickup and OTD to give me the load.

I got the load and apparently the other driver was at the same truck stop and gave me the finger as I drove past him on my way out laughing.

I dont blame you a bit MC. I've purposely grabbed a dirty empty out of Ft Worth to take to Broken Bow... on-site diy washout. I'm not really that much of a stickler but I had a 4am in Greeley and by the time I got parked at Johnsons Corner it was 6pm. Trailer shows up half full and filthy.... NO.

Of course JBS doesnt have the load ready at 4am. Get the call that its ready and while I'm searching for the trailer I get a call saying they messed it up and it has to be reworked. Another JBS about to find themselves on my banned list
