Since I had too much time on this load, stopped in Chattanooga for the night to visit my folks. Nice being able to choose your own route and fuel stops.

What are my chances of getting a load out of Jacksonville, FL area on a Sunday? Just wondering if I need to try to find something to do for the day, don't want to sit in the truck all day if can find something close by to do.

I swear I step away for a while, and the kiddies get the thread closed! Anyways I have made to the world of lease operator. I got a 2014 Cascadia Evo with 16k on the clock. It has the front disc and air ride front end, and drives like a 60's-70's air ride Caddy or Lincoln. Yep it like to hunt for a line, never finding one. But that and the Dynasys APU are the only things that are questionable. LED head lights are great! PM if you want my truck #.

Right now I am waiting on a load to get to Sapulpa so I can get through the house to pick up my stuff. This got sprung on me about a month early, my co-driver wanted his truck back! LOL! I had to go to the Ft. Worth yard to get it, and it was the most agreeable recovery I have ever been involved in! The truck was unusually clean inside, all it really needed was a few minor things from the shop, and a good exterior wash. My current view is of the JCT bus and shop, and I am getting bored with it...

    Ok so....

When you get a dispatch to pickup from Tqylor Farms in Salinas and the appt time says 00:00 to 00:00, it does NOT mean anytime during that 24hr period. Delivered this morning up in Union City then shot down here to Salinas. Tried to check in and the hombre tells me that appt ia at 15:00. I will be out of hours then. Go back to truck and get a new message from a csr that appt was at 15:00. Awesome timing. Off to Pilot a mile away. Reply to csr that they need to reset appt. Mistake. Why? Got called from dispatch at 16:30 wondering where I was. Told him I was out of hours and they wouldnt check me in. He said never send message in reply to CSR, they dont read em. Always send a "0" message. So I creep back over, kicked out and told I had to check in by phone at the remote lot, which was a giant Charles Foxtrot with too many trucks teying to fit in there, check in and wait an hour. Called me and tild ne door 16. Then they tell me my chute is hanging. Now at TK waiting for the after hours guy to fix it.

    Fun day!!!:yes2557:

Did you pick up L3079? We get the trucks decent and ready to go whenever driver abandons at fw yard.

Anytime you get an appointment time for 0000 to 0000 , it means that they have not set up the appointment time yet. It happens a lot of times out oc WCC in Colton because they are not sure what time you will be departing from the shipper. So it gives the company some cushion in case you were to get held up there. If it is getting close to the appointment day just sent them a free form message asking for the accurate appointment time.

All the times I have been to Jacksonville , I always get sent to the whitewave in Jacksonville to pick up soy milk. Super fast loaders there.

Ha! No doubt! Ive pulled all kinds of meat all over the place, and relayed trailers full of produce, but have never been loaded with produce live. Not all their fault though. Someone could have tossed an appt time in there, explained tbat those times do not mean what it did at another co, and they arent the ones who tore the chute down. Good thing is, checkin lot, Peelot, and ThermoKing are all within two easy miles away at less than 15mph.
