Honestly, with these new trucks, it's luck of the draw. Some are really good with few problems and others are always in the shop. It has nothing to do with JCT, just a fact of all the emissions stuff that have to go on the trucks by law.
It is my opinion that the DD15 is the best emissions engine on the market today.
