Ok guys so I gave in and traded trucks on friday. Got a silver pete. Less storage but not bad for a solo driver. Drives like a Cadillac. Unfortunately turns lIke one too. But one really good thing is according to the let's truck app I am getting 8.7 mph after 880 miles. Last truck avg 6.8 at 65 and I'm getting 8.7 at 70. Dash reads 7.4 and climbing but I trust the mathematics of gallons used vs miles driven more than the computers estimates.
MachoCyclone and crxdc Thank this. -
It broke while in Ohio. Hasn't been a problem since up the temps were mild. Then I came to Laredo.

Glad I don't much business with Flying J. This one here in Laredo no longer have plastic bags. They now have recycled paper bags and charge a quarter per bag.

Check the alternator pulley. Mine was plastic. The belt stretched, started slipping and overheated. Melted the plastic pulley and broke the belt. Replaced it with a steel pulley so that won't happen again.
While you're there, check the isolation mounts. I replaced mine just for preventative maintenance but found they were destroyed once I got them out. Barely feel the apu running now.
TAMachoCyclone Thanks this.
