I agree a driver didnt "do" the damage. When it was done is my beef. The fasteners were pulled clean out of the overhead and none are on the floor. That tells me the trailer has been cleaned since the chute was damaged.
In Livonia, LA for the night, got 6 hr drive to Arlington, TX tomorrow. Might see about dropping this USCS load in Ft. Worth.
Took a trailer bound for Phoenix down to Monahan TX. Swapped for a trailer to Concord NC for Friday. Will stop in Weatherford and bestuck there til I get another 5 hrs back midnight Tuesday. Will be turning in almost 4000 miles because of a Fri morning delivery last week in Union City. This trip of 1430 miles will be a decent start to next week after hometime. ETA: Just to be clear, about 600 or so of those miles were on the clock of the recovery driver I took to Vegas.
I just started with JCT and I put my hometime in for the 19th. I wanted to take advantage of that week of no truck/apu payment. Getting my first experience running the super singles across some snow and ice along Interstate 84 in Utah and on 80 across Wyoming. It does handle a little different than the duals I was used to, but nothing I couldn't handle. The JBS plant in Hyrum, Utah took for ever. They had the load ready an hour after the pickup window. Had a full nights rest and will be in Denver this afternoon ahead of Winterstorm Vulcan. The had thing about that plant in Hyrum is that they have no restrooms for the drivers. They let you park there, but you are denied a restroom. I think that should be illegal.
That's not correct. They have restrooms and a cafeteria. The food is pretty good and very inexpensive.
