As per all contracts that JCT has with its customers, so long as a load is ready by the scheduled time, there is no detention involved. We allow most customers 4 hours past that b4 we can even think about detention.
Tyson is a bit different. Even if they are 8 hours late, but the load can still be delivered by the original appt time, they don't pay detention. So, if they repower a load with, say a team, to get it there on time, no detention. That doesn't mean you won't get anything from JCT. It just means Tyson is not obligated to pay JCT anything.
You have to look at you window (beginning & end times) for pick up and delivery. We have situations where there is a 72 hour window. No one wants to sit at a meat plant for 3 days. Plan accordingly.
Not all Tysons or JBS are like that. Many places, loads are ready even b4 the start of the window. Use that phone number and call the customer so you can plan.
If you feel you are owed detention, ALWAYS ASK. Worse that can happen is they say no.

That's exactly what it cost me for a tire blowout with a TA road side call. They had to change the tire and rim. It shocked me as well. I learned to check tire pressures after that. I'm still 2900 dollars in the hole in my main account from my 2013 kw....slowly climbing out in my 2016 gas guzzler. I was almost 6000 dollars in the hole.

I was informed at orientation by Carol that the .10 discount at loves is no longer available. Only discounts we get now is just the .08 rebate at Pilot/Flying J's.
Hopefully I'll be ready to roll by tomorrow. -
Don't know any Carol at JCT, but JCT will push pilot/Flying j because they get huge rebates.
And it's not a discount, it's an extra 10 points per gallonSaturday Thanks this. -
Oh I must have misunderstood than. Also, how do you find out the fuel surcharge for the week that the company is paying you, do they tell you that the fsc is x amount cpm this week? I'm missing those numbers from my calculations.

So, if you accept a pre plan on Sunday, but you don't get the new load assignment until Monday, you will get the new rate (if it changes).
Now there are instances where you won't get the msg. If it's a holiday, you'll get it on Tuesday. Effective date is the same. Also, there are trucks (like mine) that don't get the msg across our screen. It will show on the JCT side as having been sent to you, but you didn't get it. No one knows the reason for this. If I don't get it on Monday, I simply request it Tuesday a.m. And they resend it.
It's been a hit and miss thing for me for over 6 years. Some weeks I get it, some I don't.Saturday Thanks this. -
For this week currently what is the fsc?
