12 gigs in 10 days!? You must be watching a lot of Netflix. I download my movies and tv shows at home and put them my external hard drive to watch on my laptop. The only internet I use in the truck is TTR, Facebook, weather, and TripPak In- Cab.

Yes, I know the TripPak In-Cab costs me $6 per trip, but that doesn't bother me at all. I don't like not having a copy of the paperwork for my records, and scanning it on my computer gives me that copy and knowing that JCT did receive the bills at least electronically.

Well I sat for 25 hrs last thursday and 27 hrs on sunday between loads so needed to pass the time somehow. I am only 70 miles from my house maybe get chance to swing by house if no preplan. Already had to turn 1 down because picks up at 5 pm today and will have this load until at least 11 pm.
It was a good run too, 1400 miles to Mesa, AZ.

Gotta show you this. I didn't believe it either. Have been playing with the numbers all the way here to Meridian, MS to make sure they didn't get a mistake. This is my first full week settlement without a recruiting bonus (like the week before) and with truck payments. It was the perfect storm. I literally started the week off with almost nothing in the tank after picking up a load in Bradenton FL, after a 34 hr reset.

As you can see, I only got enough of the expensive FL fuel to get me OUT of FL, and since I was heavy, only kept up to about 1/2 tank all the way until Tyler TX, where I could fill up without worrying about scales on the way to Ft Worth. I even had plenty of fuel left over in the tanks to start the next week. You will also notice a "Local Pay" in the Reimbursements section. This was the extra $100 given to me to save that load to Walmart DC up in Harrisonville, MO, so we can just assume that one away. Lets take it down to $1225 for the week. Also ran 98 miles for free from Ponca
City OK to the yard, then sat there for a day while they played with this truck.

2669 miles, $1225 net after expenses (before taxes). I'm not going to get rich, but it is better than the pittance I was earning as a company driver. There are other variables in there that will disappear at some point. For example, the $25 performance escrow. I think that stops when it reaches $1000. The maintenance escrow disappears after it hits $10k. $113 APU payment s done in just under a year. I'm pretty much on track with Chad as a DM to be blowing 3000 miles a week away.

I still think I can do better. I'm pretty sure I averaged about 6.9mpg that week (need to keep better records). If I could get that up to 7.5 consistently, could you imagine? $1229 billed for fuel, still had some left over. Add another mile per gallon in there and do the math.

Getting me a Scanguage this weekend.

Now you just need some 100 spoke daytons and switches, then you'll be California legal.

Wow... just realized... The FSC + the rebates paid for every dime of my fuel. It even put $1.42 in my pocket.

I use an app on my phone to track my mpgs. It called Fuel Log. Easy to use and will give you your best mpg, average mpg, and worst mpg. Also, tracks your cost per mile and has a calculator to calculate how many gallons you need for x amount of miles.

Yep, forgot about the out of pocket stuff, scales. Yeah, lumper they advance on efs check, then reimburse. Figure $32 for oop (out of pocket expenses) reimbursed, not including the two gallons of coolant for that week ($26). I will at least get to deduct those.

Was going to use that but I'm using the old-school odometer method. Top off til it's literally running out of the other side, record mileage. Top off again a day or so later to the exact same mark, then record mileage and how many gallons pumped to get back there. Subtract beginning mileage from ending mileage, divide amount of gallons, and get a much more accurate number than what the ECM is telling the QC.

This next settlement will be interesting. Part of the week I couldn't get in because I delivered on a Friday morning, and very bizarre fueling patterns.
