TK doesn't have a heat system. They have to use a 3rd party product like Webasto or Espar.
Carrier provides it's own

That link is an engine pre heater. Keeps the motor and option for fuel tanks from freezing/gelling in the winter.
I agrued my case for an inverter a few months ago. They were very firm on the no.Steel Tiger Thanks this. -
I learned quite a bit about the Comfort Pro from our conversation. Of course I would expect the president to stand behind his products. LOL
MachoCyclone Thanks this. -

It heats and circulates coolant/fuel throughout the system. Keeps the motor and fuel system nice and warm like it would be at idle. Which also makes the motor easier to crank.
I know the new Petes have an engine/fuel warmer they can plug up to the APU. I know that the two Cascadias I have had here do not have that system. Which means, in the coldest months of winter I have to idle the truck so nothing freezes. -
Yeah I've had to idle also to avoid things freezing up. My truck has a 3 minute idle limit on it thanks to CA's idling laws. I have to turn on the cruise to bypass it otherwise the engine dies. Thank you California. You have no idea how annoying a 3 minute idle timer is.

2015 freightshaker Evo with a DD15 engine married to a DT12 auto tranny. I don't know if the idle timer is standard or if I'm just the lucky guy that got stuck with it. The shop guys say they can't disable it. I don't know if they are quoting company policy or if it really is hardwired like that.
