Sitting in Olathe, KS waiting for Tyson to load a trailer. From what I could gather is that they are about 12 hours behind schedule.

So I am in El Paso this morning and get a request to re-power a load to mira loma, ca. It is due at 0545 tomorrow morning, no problem as I am back to teaming. Meet driver in Tonapah, Az. to swap and all looks good until I look in vent door and see no loadlocks. Ask driver and he says he picked up sealed trailer from Tyson and doesn't know if it has any loadlocks. I'm about to tell driver what I know about picking up from Tyson when he admits there are no loadlocks as he didn't have any to put on trailer. There were none on his truck either.
I lose so many loadlocks like this. The trailer I gave this driver had two. I guess my question, (gripe), is this. Are we just not using loadlocks anymore, am I the only one? All too often I've been lied to by other drivers about why they don't have any on trailer I'm swapping with them. The ones that pick up from Tyson or JBS and then tell me it was a sealed trailer, I call them on their b.s.. They always act surprised when I inform them that I've picked up there and security always breaks yard seal and puts on new seal, therefore allowing driver to put their loadlocks in. -
Not all tyson allow breaking seals
MachoCyclone Thanks this. -
I usually have the opposite problem, I have too many. I am constantly leaving load locks in mt trailers I dropMachoCyclone and crxdc Thank this. -
I was referring to JBS and Tysons that I've picked up from along I-10 and I-20. These are the same pick ups that I am usually swapping with. Although, I will say that I've never picked up from any Tyson or JBS and not had seal broken allowing me to put in loadlocks. I guess if you just don't want to use them ,then say that and not tell me some bogus story.
I'm not saying that all of these places are as I've described, just all that I've been to. -

There are some days I just feel lazy and don't want to climb into the trailer. Usually a Tyson or JBS load don't really require the locks as most of the time the are properly stacked and wrapped and heavy enough to stay. On occasion there is a few loose boxes on top of a pallet.
