Running with JCT, Part Deux

Picking up now in Turlock CA for a 2800 mile run to Denver PA for Monday, but will be running through the yard to switch back into my truck and take a 34. Will be turning in the miles from here to the yard, then continuing on to PA for a great start to the following week.

Hope the egr cooler is fixed and I dont have to spend gobs of cash on coolant anymore.

Had a nice visit with my bro and his wife in Modesto last night at his massive house. Will be crashing at his place everytime I get up this way. His company is closing and his last day is next Monday. Is interviewing everywhere in the area and has a good chance at a great position at Gallo, which is based here.

 

Jarhed, keep an eye on your DPF/DEF system. Because of the EGR cooler leak, it may have damaged the system somewhat. Not sure how close the truck is to the next DPF cleaning, but if its close, you may want to get it done so they can see any problems are present and have them flip the bill for that too.

Parked at The Thing. Exit 322 on I-10 in Arizona. I might go see what it is.

 

"The Thing" isn't all that, but they do have all kinds of neat antique stuff you probably won't see anywhere else. Lots of historical stuff. Definitely worth the few bucks admission.

 

I agree with you about the thing. The antique stuff was cool to look at and is worth the dollar. This is one place I want to bring my son and daughter to this summer when they come out with me. Not both at once though. I did pick me up some dried bananas, dried pineapple, pecans, and cashews for cheaper than a truck stop though.

 

I don't understand why JCT couldn't reschedule an appt from Wed 9 pm to Tues 9 pm. I have been sitting here in Memphis since 9 am with hometime suppose to be tomorrow but only have enough hrs to get to consignee 15 min away. I would of just took the load home with me and ate the extra miles if had the hrs available, get back 5 hrs tomorrow. My dog is getting surgery tomorrow and I am not going to be able to get there until Thurs morning now. Might be my last load with JCT if I don't get a good explanation why couldn't change appt since I called the customer myself and asked if receive today and they said yes plus have a couple of openings left tonight. Been waiting for appt change since 2 pm monday with no answer yet.

 

I am parked at a Love's on I-40 at exit 86 and I saw a JCT truck here believe it was 2580 does anyone on here have that truck. If so I was going to park and shoot the bull with you but when I finally got a spot and then you was gone. Oh well maybe next time.

 

Oh I forgot to mention that the Love's that I am at is in NC. I know they are probably several on I 40.
