Easy day today!
Picked up out of Ashley IN yesterday. Drove about 200 miles on down here to the Cincinnati area and found me a Walmart where I stopped for the night. Deliver in Hebron KY today at 1400 appointment. Also will pick up out of Hebron KY and heading on up to Bay City MI. Only need to run about 300 miles today, maybe I will go more will see. Last week was no doubt a run hard week knock down about 3300 miles but well worth it!
This week going slow it down a bit and let my hours catch up. Will be running about 2700 miles and getting paid well for it too. Love being my own boss, run it hard when I want and/or take it easy .. when I want..as long as the money is there it's all good!
Gotta go do some shopping now .. Take er easy!mickimause, skyviper73, Wheelwell and 2 others Thank this. -

Grabbed that load out of Hebron KY at my same delivery location! Awesome, love when that happens. It was a live unload, then dropped the MT trailer about 6 doors down from where they had me live unload and picked up my preloaded trailer right next to it! Ran about 180 miles toward my drop in Bay City MI and met up with my Cousin (He drives for Prime!..No figure!!..LOL Just kidding, Prime is good Company too..He is doing well over there) Who I haven't seen in at least 10 years.. We spent a lot of time together growing up so it was good to see him again.
Today finished that delivery in Bay City and deadheaded 235 miles to my next Pick up down hear in Nappannee IN. I know, I Know ..long way to go for deadhead.. No worries ..The load pays for it!
Got here to the shipper in Nappannee and no one here to be found... Lights are out and all locked up! Only one SNI trailer in the lot so I thought "hmmm.. it is suppose to be drop and hook... maybe the paper work is on the trailer" Went to the face of trailer to check the pocket where we normally get our paper work on relays and preloads etc.. Nope! nothing.. Hmmmm.. ok.. well, lets see if the trailer is sealed ... Nope! no seal.. So i open her up and see it is loaded and the paper work is on the floor in an envelope with instructions to sign and drop a copy in drop box.. Perfect! Check the paper work over to make sure all numbers and info match, and they do. Give SNI call just to double check because there were no instructions in my work assignment to pick this load up in this manor . Yep, CS confirms that it is my load and go ahead take it. Works for me. Hook er up and decided to do my 10hr right here and get fresh start in morning. Low on hours and it is at least 60 to 70 miles of back roads until I get to a major highway or place to park.
Another cool thing is the load was suppose to be 40,000 LB when I picked it... Not true, it is only 17,588 LB .. .. I find those even numbers 40,000 or 35,000 lb are usually not accurate. It sucks that it is a guessing game sometimes but it pans out .. Was taking a gamble, but kinda figured it was going to be lighter than 40,000.Last edited: Jun 20, 2014
Wheelwell Thanks this. -

Have to remember it's not about miles on choice. He could have run less miles and make same if not more.

That is not the norm for me.. but usually I can gross $4800 to $5000 and take home a $1800 to $2000 check at least once or twice a month. The other weeks will usually take home a $1200 to $1500.. just depends..Wheelwell and runningman0661 Thank this.
