So after reading this. They will not check ur credit for a New evo for 1year. What after that year? you go to do it all over so you will never own that truck? What are there credit requirements i got good credit just dont like people pulling it cuz it hurts your credit lol.

TruckerPete, they run your credit whether you check no or yes on the app.

Not sure about 1 year lease I have 3 year with purchase op..They ran my credit! A banker once told me the only thing that hurts your credit (when it is being pulled/checked) is when someone runs it and you get declined and this happens multiple times. If you have had your credit checked/run from several different companies with in short period of time it doesn't look to good. Having credit checked once by Schneider shouldn't hurt your credit. Especially if you get the loan. Might help your credit lol.. who knows?

Weird. My banker told me that multiple inquiries in a short period (followed, I assume, by a new account with one of the companies inquiring) were treated as a single inquiry...i.e., shopping interest rates for a car. I can see where multiple inquiries with no new account would hurt, though.

You lease the Evo for whatever term and it has a residual that SFI will finance for you at end of lease so you can own the truck. They do 1 year lease or longer depending on your desires. SFI wants you to own the truck. They make money off the lease but SNI as a corporation makes more money when you lease and your successful too.

Yes that is how i understand it. No new account would indicate an decline for credit i'm guessing.

Not so sure if it is same anymore a lot of things have changed sense I had talk to him.

Atruckr, is that freight there to run the I-5 corridor from ca-wa often and still make enough to keep up with payments on these new trucks?

    Short answer: yes

Me I don't mine the I 5 corridor but it is not my first choice. Yes there is plenty of loads, it's getting the loads to match my schedule (pick up and delivery times) for profit. This is what I find to be the most challenging. Also continuously running through the state of Oregon carries a hefty price tag at end of the month.. Oregon charges high price on millage tax to run through their state. Just a word to the wise ..

Don't say that to detour you.. just making it aware. I mostly stay on the I 15 corridor when running up and down Cali to WA.. I don't totally ignore I 5 either it's just those states are more trucker friendly and you will find better paying loads coming down from WA/OR to Utah! I try to only take one cheap shorter load from UT to CA instead of cheap load all the way down from WA..(FYI-In the west to get back to Cali where the higher paying loads are one has to usually take a dawg cheap load at some point..I try to make as light and as short as possible) Then take high paying load straight back WA (I -5 corridor) or step your way Cali to Utah (I-15 corridor) then Utah to WA .. Think you will find it more profitable that way. ..It's well worth it if you like the entrepreneur style trucking!

I really appreciate the advice. I live up in the Puget Sound Region and the recruiter made it sound like there's plentiful amount of work along those lanes if I wanted to stay in the West.
