Go back and look at shorter runs..that's where the better money is.
You can't always look at the long haul stuff..multiple loads a day pay better most times.
The freight is there..sometimes you just have to run areas you wouldn't normally want to.
Sadwar can give you alot of info as he came from out that way..so maybe you should give him a shout.
As for Crazy Yankee..you have no idea what someone wants to do as a business plan..so how can you say if it's wrong or right?
You don't run on the choice program and no-one asked you about it..but you always seem to show up and tell us what we're doing wrong.
I guess you think you're helping..but you're just being annoying.

well i am thinking of moving back to New England
can't find a decent company job there
looking at this choice program but see nothing better then a glorified lease job
no health benefits
no taxes
nothing for me
just trying to figure out how all these people are smarter then me -
You couldn't make a lease work so it must be a rip off.
All I will say is this:
Schneider's lease is different because YOU make all the decisions as to where, when and how much you run for.
Some guys struggle because of where they live or they didn't do their homework.
Or maybe they don't have the head for business..there are a ton of reasons.
I've been doing the choice program for 16 months..I've never had a issue making my payment or a good living.
But again I live in a strong area..I can drive to 20 different customers within 30 miles of where I live.
I will run anywhere for the right money..NYC,New England and upstate NY in the winter..whatever.
Not saying SNI doesn't have it's problems..all companies do.
You have to want it here on Choice..the loads aren't going to come knocking on your door.
So plan accordingly..
As for the the thread and the forum..it's a free world so I will just live and let live.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion.Last edited: Sep 20, 2015

You've been to Laredo I see.
That's the swift rider program from Laredo to Phoenix.atruckr, 91B20H8, PoleCrusher and 1 other person Thank this. -
The west coast isn't as bad as people make it out to be. Sure .50 a mile freight can stay at the shipper.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to create a pumpkin rush to AZ or CA. But I was planning on parking my truck in the Midwest and flying home to Phoenix. I actually put together a good (not great) string to get home to Phoenix. Then I did a west coast swing and I'm headed back east. I'm telling you I didn't do it for free either. I've had better weeks, but I was home for 4 days and I'm not even close to being in the red.
The key is don't limit yourself and take the crap nobody wants to deal with. Live loads, Los Angeles, Bay Area, pnw, there is money there, just not easy money like the Midwest.atruckr, mickeyrat and drvrtech77 Thank this.
