What company?
I don't think there are more than 250 drivers in the entire sector of RV hauling to begin with.

During the shipping season, (March - July), there are about 2700 active drivers, (drivers with 1500 or more miles a month). The rest of the year it varies between 400 - 600 sub 1500 mile drivers. This year, (2015) the number of delivery drivers will increase by about 20% for the upcoming shipping season. Recruiting is all ready ramping up. Several of the part time drivers return as the weather improves. -
There are thousands of drivers starting every year, while thousands quitting each year. RV industry paints a nice $$$ picture to con more "independent" contractor-drivers just so they can get as many miles out of them as possible before the drivers discover it's all a big joke! Whats more, the RV camper industry 'seeds' forums with people claiming how wonderful it is to drive delivering trailers and live the good life traveling the country. BULL!!!! you dont have time or money to smell the roses along the way! I was stopped by many a trucker considering switching to rv delivery until they heard how little it pays a mile and NO BACK LOADS!! There are many one time big rig drivers each year trying to make it but they all eventually bale after going into debt trying to make it work. I seen there faces and eventual anger after being jerked around. The one thing you notice is why are these companies ALWAYS recruiting new drivers every day??? it begins to make sense to you after you cannot even afford to pay your accountant at the end of the year. The word needs to get around about this. Its a big fake dream!! It's a losers foolish game and if you go buy a truck thinking your going to make money keep careful records of everything ALL expenses and you will begin to see. Again, you will make far more money as a Walmart greater except that job may come with real benefits! and you get to go home more.

Victorbear: I have been saying this for years but there are about 3 or 4 on this forum who feed a lot of BS. IF there was a backhaul it might be alright. But you cannot even make as much as a long haul company driver getting 42cpm. And he does not supply the truck!

According to you, lastone in, they will be delivered in a 5 month period by 2700 drivers. That figures out to 63,040 units delivered per month. So each of those 2700 drivers will deliver 23 units per month. That's a lot of hustle for a bunch of "retirees". Being in the industry (full time) I know the average mileage for a delivery is around 700 miles. So these drivers are apparently driving 16,100 miles per month loaded and another 16,100 miles empty for a total of 32,200 miles per month. With mileage pay currently about $1.30 per loaded mile these drivers are grossing $20,930 per month for 5 months. That's $104,650 gross for 5 months of work. Pretty good money for a retiree working part time. -
Don't be fooled! the ONLY figures that matter are 'net' AFTER ALL EXPENSES. ALL EXPENSES!!! You can gross 1 million dollars and still be in the red by years end... gross figures don't count at all AND it is what cons so many new drivers in the RV industry unfamiliar with proper accounting. I have only met drivers in that business months and some in it a few years. No one long term. NO ONE!! The RV camper industry wants you to believe its a dream job. one time I delivered a unit to a dealer and asked where a few sites were at that we wanted to see... a customer was apparently listening and exclaimed "what a dream job" ... not too long after that when I started to realize how far i was going into debt i remembered those words. I said to myself it is a dream job because you have to be asleep to believe it!! Unless you are retired and have nothing better to do is it anything close to a dream job. Wake up people!! It's a "big dream" joke!!
