I'll make a few calls on Monday. See if I can find a few who will let me. I have to believe that getting .60 - .80 cents a mile back to Indiana is better than nothing.

You will need MC number to access legit load board.

Once again you don't know what you are talking about! I pull RV trailers, boats, cargo trailers from the west cost. I run these through my company. And be advise that I don't do "back hauls" they don't exist. I move freight

I guess the rest of the haulers just aren't as smart as you. How many haulers with PU's do you think use load boards? Maybe a dozen out of thousands. Must be a reason. How ,many back hauls do you do as a % of your regular hauls? How far do you have to go from your first delivery point to get that load board run? How far do you have to drive from that delivery point to your Indiana run. Being as many of the haulers are Canadians that would preclude them from any back hauls that terminate in the USA. My point is that you are exceptional! What was your real net income from those backhauls? Not some pie in the sky figure. Which load boards do you use? How would someone whose home base is farm country( SD,ND,NE, etc,) get a back haul that does not require a deck trailer?

Who do you have your authority with, (DOT Number)? Maybe we all should look into working with them.

Not all load boards are for the big trucks. There are some out there that cater to moving boats, cars and RVs etc. If you're really motivated, you go to the manufacturer and sell your services and run it through your company.

I wouldn't say that. Maybe not as motivated.

All the ones that want to maximize their profits.

Do you keep track of that yourself? I don't.

Obviously that varies with every load. Anything that originates near your delivery point and gets you closer to your next pick up point is worth considering.

    Why?

    Thank you!

Income is what I keep track of. I don't separate it into different categories.

I gave the name of one. Not going to give them all away. Do your own research.

    I believe that's been covered.

A Canadian cannot PU freight in the US and deliver to a US address. It is called cabotage. Your answers were a joke. Basically you did not respond. Either you do not want to help fellow drivers or you are just full of --. I would advise any potential driver to do his homework. Talk to some haulers in person. Forget back hauls unless you want to invest in at least a MD truck and trailer. Get the pay rates and do the math. You will be paying to work! A Wal Mart greeter makes more $$ and he sleeps in his own bed. Do not believe the above poster!

I drive for Star Fleet Trucking. I run from Middlebury to the west and I have my own network of dealers and manufacturer that I call on. It took me 10 years to put together.

Thank you for proving my point about your bad advice and poor attitude. When someone comes on this site asking questions about hauling RV I'll just PM them with a invite where to get the real information from real drivers that do this type of work.
