Question # 1: Why does it take S.C. soooo long to issue permits even as simple as a 10' wide?
I've bought an annual to circumvent the lengthy process.

Question # 2: I've done a few 17' + that required Police escorts of course, but getting the cops paid on the spot is a total azzwhip. My company (leased to) requires a W9 and their bill, fair enough, but the processing takes a minimum of 45 minutes and up to 2 hrs. There has got to be a better way!
I've mentioned this to the point of maybe getting fired. I've even offered to pay the officers cash and then recoup later. I get, " that's the way it's done".
In this day of nano second stock exchanges in the millions of $, why is it this difficult?

Forgive me the rant, just so frustrating!!! Thanks
