Going to visit a terminal next Monday but not really enthusiastic... all their trucks are Kenworth t680 n oldest is 2018...
Watched their interior on YouTube and just hate it... not enough storage room... :biggrin_25513: Their interiors are not built for drivers that live in the truck for months at a time and cook in the truck and must carry all kinds of things and clothes for all kinds of weather and temps and tools and some spare parts, etc.
The space inside these Kenworth t680 looks more constricted than the older Freightliners.
I carry pots, cookware, stove, gallons of water for cooking and cleaning stuff, boxes with food stuff, bags with grains and beans, etc.. I need functional storage and there are no shelves, no place to safely store and secure things... :angry2:
Not much overhead storage... A couple of small drawers behind passenger seat... can't put much in them, empty space for TV that I don't have cause I don't watch TV and swivel desk that stays in the way or on top of side end of bed... a wardrobe for hanging clothes, which is not functional cause I don't hang clothes and need shelves instead... and another very small drawer under that.. might have more space if there were no drawer and just a door. Not much space under the bunk either... very inconvenient to reach that from inside the truck... :angry6:
So.... only space to store things would be on the top bunker..... If I can find a way to secure things up there without having to throw that net on top of everything which makes it super inconvenient... and would have to climb up there every time I need to get my cooking utensils and bags of food, etc... :angry1:
And not much space between the lower bunk and the upper bunk which will make it impossible for me to exercise in bed. :angry8:
I knew when I left "my" last truck, a Freightliner Cascadia 2017, that I would not be in a comfortable and roomy truck again... I knew I would not like the new trucks...:biggrin_2557:
The newer trucks, even Freightliner Cascadia that I saw in some companies have half the storage room they had before... :biggrin_1square1:
The Volvo and Peterbilt still have a little more storage room inside... but less than the older ones...
