    HA. Try growing up a Pirates fan...from Florida of all places...in the late 80s/early 90s...

    THAT PART.

    That's the attitude I've adopted since being back out OTR...if i find myself near anything worth seeing, I make it a point to try to get out and see it. Makes the road life more enjoyable.

    Back in the 70's I went to the stadium in my pickup. I could see it, but couldn't find the way to drive to it. lol
    I asked for directions from 3 or 4 locals just to get bad ones, finally got good directions from a wet that couldn't speak a word of english. lol

    I love going to games at Tropicana field, it's nice watching a game in the ac. You are right tho, it is pretty much a mall with a ballfield in the middle. Everyone around here swears that it sucks but I love it

    I used to park in the convention centers marshalling yards nominal fee it will put you right downtown in many major citys , no matter if you don't have freight for a show.
    Atlanta was my favorite , id slide in find a spot at night go to sleep and the collector would wake you , up around 7am , you have to try McCormick and Schmiks steakhouse in the CNN Plaza.
    McCormick Places Chicago yard is the same way.
