If you are confident in yourself and he's not an ax murderer I think boundaries can be maintained. I've been a driver for many years and I'm comfortable hanging out with the guys. With rare exceptions they always treat me like a lady...maybe because I expect it.

I still can't believe that companies would even allow a trainer and student of opposite genders to be in the same truck. It just shows how desperate they are for warm bodies to fill the seats.

That may be so. However they are also complying with Federal EEOC rules.

i cant say in general, but you would certainly be safe on MY truck. Id have more to fear from my wife getting jealous than you'd have to fear from me. Having said that, it is pretty crowded in a trick for two people, and you would probably feel more comfortable with a female trainer just on that basis. But not all men or trainers are pigs. Many of us are good people trying to do a good job for the company that cuts our check.

The people that should be trainers are not trainers for the very same reason the people who should never be allowed to train can train.

Your comment is VERY close to that old axiom (those that can do, do! Those that can't do teach!) Close however I know several trainers that have 20+ years under their belts and do this because they are like me. They want to try to help shape these new guys coming into this job. However for every good trainer I bet there are at least a dozen that are nowhere near qualified!

During my stint as a trainer I was given the choice if I wanted to train women or not. I chose not to. It's kind of unfortunate, really. I considered myself a decent trainer but my decision was based on self preservation.

and these days you just look at them wrong and they will file sexual harassment, grab the stick shift out of her hand to drop it in the hole and now its sexual assault.. too many variables to land a innocent guy in a world of misery.

Coover, Grumppy and Cottonmouth85 Thank this.

I would've always assumed that just for very practical reasons they'd always send a new woman recruit out with another experienced woman driver bottom line is it'll be your choice if your unsure about it always try and make the safest choice.
