I know dang well it ain't safe. It's also stupid.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

There’s a pretty big difference between kicking a manual into neutral and an automated transmission doing it. If I’m driving and try and put it in neutral it simply stays in gear. With the cruise set it will coast to 3mph over the cruise speed and it will go back into gear and kick the engine brake on. When it’s coasting on cruise if I touch the brakes it goes back into gear, if I touch the accelerator pedal it goes back into gear, if the cruise is set at 65 and it’s coasting at 67 and I bump the cruise down to 64 it will go back into gear, or if I try and put it in neutral while coasting it will go back into gear. Quite a bit different than a human trying to get it back into the correct gear.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

Considering Raider Express runs all the states you mentioned governed below 60mph I’d say it’s a safe bet that all of their trucks aren’t getting tickets. And I’ve ran the states you listed plus South Dakota a lot at 65 and there seems to be no issue with it.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

Yes it is.
Unless there a safety reason or a mechanical/electronic failure.
In which case, you should have your hazard lights on,
your air horn and high beam activated periodically. -
I had my little personal warning in WY driving 62 MPH in an 80 zone.
I did changed the setting to 75 in Sparks NV at the Volvo dealer.
It was 62 from the factory. That's how I ordered it.
I agreed with the State trooper that 62 is just too low.
On a side note, Manitoulin had their 90 kms/h (56MPH)
put on notice by Alberta government for running too low in a
province with a speed limit of 110 kms/h (68MPH).
It was considered unsafe. -
Nope, neutral is neutral and illegal is illegal. Again, we all know safety takes a back seat to "saving the world."Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

I’ll drive my truck at a speed someone else thinks I should drive right about the time they start buying my fuel.Siinman, wore out and Another Canadian driver Thank this.
-
You’re right. Sounds like time for a lawsuit.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

I tried once to drive at 89. I UT on a 80 segment.
My QUALCOMM would have triggered an alert at 90.
I was buying the fuel, of course.
Conclusions:
The truck performed flawlessly.
I totally loved it and I decided that's my preferred speed from now on.
The Schneiders of the world that I passed, they were looking at me like I was a Speed Demon.
Great memories as long as nobody got hurt in the process.
